Known as one of the best and most popular American Presidents of the present time, President William (Bill) Clinton was decidedly so because of the his success in managing several key issues during each of his two administrations. Clinton was a new kind of Democrat who exercised a new kind of governance in that he was more of a centrist, according to most political theorists. His stand on policies such as the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and Welfare reform show a preference for different methods that was different from the hard-line ways of Former President Bush. This brief discourse will outline a few of the key policies that were implemented during the time of President Clinton and the impact that this had on the United States. As with any President, not all of the policies of President Bill Clinton were successes. The failure of policies such as Universal Healthcare would have derailed the success of other presidencies but President Clinton was able to ride the storm by providing other things that the American public would remember him fondly for. As such, this analysis will cover both the negative and positive aspects of the Clinton Administration.
