한국어 초록

본고는 무문토기문화가 하나로 고정된 것이 아니라, 기준과 유사도에 따라 농담(濃淡)이 있고, 무문토 기문화라고 부를 수 있는 공간적 범위가 시간에 따라 변동하는 유동성을 띤 것이었음을 밝히는 것이 목 적이다. 특히 한반도 무문토기형성과 전개에 무관하지 않은 중국동북지역까지를 공간적 범위로 삼아, 한반도 조·전기의 무문토기문화를 농담(濃淡)에 따라 크게 4개 무문토기문화권으로 설정하였다. 4개 문화권은 한반도 남부 무문토기의 특징이 압축된 남부 무문토기문화권, 무문토기 형성에 직접적 영향을 미치고 지속적인 교류가 일어나는 압록강중상류(전기에는 청천강유역)까지의 1차 무문토기문화 권, 직간접적으로 무문토기문화에 영향을 미치는 요동반도 남단에서 요동산지에 이르는 2차 무문토기문화권, 무문토기의 기본 구성요소를 공유하면서 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 3차 무문토기문화권으로 나뉜다. 특히 1차 무문토기문화권과 3차 무문토기문화권은 시기에 따라 축소 또는 확대되기도 한다. 따라서 광의의 의미로 무문토기라고 부를 수 있는 공간적 범위는 요하유역의 고대산문화까지이고, 한반도 남부와 지리적으로 가까워질수록 한반도 남부 무문토기와의 유사도가 높아진다. 이처럼 무문토기문 화권에 농담이 있고, 시기에 따라 문화권이 변동하는 요인으로는 집단 간의 교류, 이주 등의 사건도 중요하지만, 청동기시대 동안에 한반도 각지와 중국동북지역 각지 간에 형성되었던 개별적인 지역관계가 복합적으로 이루어졌기 때문으로 보았다.

영어 초록

purpose of this paper is to clarify that the ‘Mumun’ pottery culture is not fixed as one; rather, it has a gradation of color based on the degree of similarity, and the spatial extent, of which can be called as the “Mumun” pottery culture, varies with time, reflecting its fluidity. In particular, the spatial range shall be considered up to the northeast area of China, a place in which the “Mumun” pottery culture has a great influence. The First Phase Pottery of the Korean Peninsula was compared with the pottery culture of the northeast area of China, and the “Mumun” pottery culture was divided largely into four areas depending on the gradations of color. The four cultural areas are divided as follows: the 1st “Mumun” pottery cultural area ranges from its southern part pottery cultural area, where the characteristics of thesouthern “Mumun” pottery are compressed in the Korean Peninsula, to the upper streams of the Abrok-gang, which had a direct influence on the formation of this type of pottery and where continuous exchanged occurred ; the 2nd “Mumun” pottery cultural area includes the southernmost area of he Liaodong Peninsula, which directly and indirectly affected the “Mumun” pottery culture, to the mountainous area of Liaodong Peninsula ; and the 3rd which shares the basic components of the “Mumun” pottery and indirectly affects them. In particular, the 1st and 3rd “Mumun” pottery cultural area can be reduced or enlarged depending on the time. Therefore, the spatial range that can be referred to as the “Mumun” pottery in the broad sense can be seen up to the Gaotaishan Culture of the Liao River. Moreover, the closer to the southern part of the Korean Peninsula, the higher the similarity with the “Mumun” pottery of southern part of the Korean Peninsula. As such, there are gradations of color in the cultural areas of the “Mumun”pottery. For factors that change the culture according to time, the exchange and migration between groups are also important, but it can be alluded to the complex way the individual local relations were formed among the various places of the Korean Peninsula and the northeast areas of China during the Bronze Age.
