본 연구는 그 동안 학습자 중심 웹 기반 교수-학습체제의 설계시 설계에 중요한 부분임에도 큰 비중으로 다루어지지 않았던 화면설계에 대한 집중적인 조명을 해 봉으로써보다 효과적으로 교수-학습의 내용이 전달될 수 있는 방법적 처방을 제안하고자 하였다. 화면은 학습자 사용의 편의를 돕는 기능성을 제공하여야 함은 물론 학습동거 유발및 주의집중을 위한 십미성도 매우 중요한 구성의 척도가 된다. 그럽에도 이를 안내할수 있는 총체적 전략의 부재로 화연설계과정의 어려움이 큰 바， 보다 처방적이고 절차적인 화면설계를 위한 거시적， 미시적 모형을 개발， 제시함으로써 개인의 미적 감각에 의존하거냐 통찰적， 직관적으로 진행되던 화면설계의 과정을 보다 합 리적， 과학적 처방으로안내하고자 하였다. 교수-학습의 목적으로 셜계되는 웹 체제에서는 주어진 내용올 보다효과적， 효율적， 매 력척으로 학습할 수 있는 측면에 초점을 두어야 하므로 교수설계약 맥락에서 화면설계를 집중， 분석하여 연계적， 절차적 전략을 재안하였다. 본 연구 결과 제안된 화면설계 모형을 기초로 화변을 설계하게 되면 학습자가 낯셜고 새로운 환경얀 가상공간에서의 교수-학습올 보다 친근하고 사용하기 띤려하게 지각할 수 있게 될 것이며，그 결과 보다 매력적인 학습과 지속， 학습동기 유발에 긍정적 기여를 할 수 있을 것으로기대된다.

영어 초록

When a designer creates a new Web-based instructional system, there are so many con·siderations to help learners' learning through active navigation. Especially he or she shouldthink a'oout creating consistent visual logic on screen and an optimal i::alance or hannonyamong various fonos of infonnations. For this, great attention should be paid to screen designI:€cause well-designed screen may help learning for better recall and immediate recognitioneven though its importance is neglected so far.Based on literature review, I found out that good screen dfflign am focus learners' attentionon important infonnation, maintain iheir interest. promote the integration of new informationwith knowledge they have learned before, and help them find proper informationsby making it easy 10 navigate with user interface.Then suggestions from earlier research as to specific components such as screen density,line length, use of color, font selection and size, line spacing, amount of white space etc ona computer screen are very contradictory. Even if tbis situation reflects the characteristicsof screen design itself, more prescriptive and systematic procedures or strategies for screendesign need to 00 recommended to provide learners with effective and attractive learningenvironments in Web.Besides the functionality as well as aesthetics of screen should be taken into account aselements of design. Self-directed learners who want to actively participate in their ownlearning process usually eXf￡:Ct a high level of design sophistication from all screen componentssuch as text, graphics, animation, video, user interface, which are consistently wellstructuredon the screen.After con.siclering whole aspects of screen d€sign, a new macro mooel and a micro de­sign procedural model in 􀁩r are developed as a result of this research. These two modelswhich can 00 used to provide designers with the means of implementing their own ideash ave to be tested and revised through field testing.Screen design is not the simple selection and placement of objects on a screen. Ratherdesigner for better quality of scroon may have powerful insight and intuition for artistThat means a competent designer should continuously develop the strong ability to decidehow many ob􀂈ts to use, what types o f informations to US€, and where the various componentsto be placed in the design process.
