When I received the assignment "Draw your utopia.", I took my time to deeply think about this topic. To me utopia was very vague and indefinite thing so I took a look at a dictionary to learn about utopia. It is a Greek compound word made of ou(no) and topos(place) meaning a place that does not exist but ideal world for people. Utopia which is ideal represents people's infinite dreams for everlasting future. Then, what is ideal? A dictionary definition of ideal is a society which is perfect in the mind of human could possibly think of. To be exact, ideal is not unconditional but rather it is relative.
Relative is very interesting. Recently, I have read "what is history?" written by E. H. Carr. In this book he wrote "All histories are not the history of the past itself but rather the history of today". A certain event happened in the past could have meant some other way compared to how it is viewed today. Definite historical events are relatively changeable so there is no way to argue that ideal which is very imaginative is not one.
