1) To learn the parts and functions of a microscope
We can learn about the functions and parts of a microscope during the experiment.
2) During the experiment, we can learn the features of each stages in mitosis.

2. Materials & Methods
1) Materials
Microscope, mitosis sample slides, meiosis sample slides
2) Methods
(1) Microscopes are expensive and delicate instruments. Failure to follow these instructions may result in poor image quality and expensive damage. If you need to move your microscope, pick it up with two hands, holding the arm and the base. Check that your microscope is plugged in and turned on.
(2) Identify each objective lens by the number printed next to colored line. Most of the lab microscopes have 4X, 10X, 40X, and 100X objectives.
