1.3 Convection coefficient by Hilpert correlationHilpert correlation can be expressed in the following [Equation 2]. The coefficient of convection heat transfer can then be obtained using the Nusselt number derived in [Equation 3].
Density(ρ), Thermal conductivity(K_air), Prandtl number(Pr) should be calculated at Film temperature. According to [Table 2], these constants could be calculated. We use linear interpolation to find Density(ρ), Thermal conductivity(K_air), Prandtl number(Pr) at Film temperature(T_f=23.65℃) in advance.
1.4 Convection coefficient by Churchill and Bernstein equation
We can calculate Nusselt number, convection coefficient by the Churchill and Bernstein correlation as well. The equation is as follow.
2 Discussion
Compare the convection heat transfer coefficient, calculated by the three method.
In this situation, we assume that Churchill and Bernstein correlation’s coefficient is the exact solution.
