- Introduction
This study discusses the importance of contingency in the conditioning process. In other words, the research aims at determination of the difference between learning by conditioning implemented accidently and learning by conditioning because learners recognize stimulation and relation in the conditioning process. Designed experiments in the research have two groups, each groups have visual stimuli and air puff stimuli, in reaction time tasks that ensured attention to the experimental stimuli.
- Experiment
80 Participants are randomly assigned to four groups. First, it is an informed group. This group can predict the causality of shapes (CS +) and air puff stimuli. Before the experiment, they are instructed about the combination of CS + and air puff. Second, it is a relational group. This group can predict that shapes and stimuli are related, but they are not informed about which stimuli are related. Third, it is an uninformed group.
