Martin Luther was a German theologian and religious reformer. He was born in Eisleben in 1483. Believing the Word of God is what Luther considered to be the most important thing in his life. He decided to become a monk when he was in danger of losing his life because of lightening. After that incident, he believed that there was a message from God to dedicate his life. He had some significant events in his life and theology. When he celebrated the Mass for the first time, he could not handle the body and blood of Jesus because he thought that he did not deserved to receive God’s love. The Word of God became important to him because he found the answer about salvation. These events had served as an opportunity to strengthen his faith.
Martin Luther heavily influenced the doctrines Christianity. In that time, there were a lot of inconsistency in the Roman Catholic Church because they was a very powerful institution which had its own laws and lands. People paid the church for various sacraments such as baptism, marriage, and communion.
