The term, “Green Economy” was firstly used in certain report titled “Blueprint for a Green Economy” published by David Pears from England in 1989. At that time, British government askay to combine the environment issues with economic growth in order to keep sustainable development of industry. From this idea, the term “Green Economy” was invented and it can be defined as economic development model which results in improved human well-being and social equity with sustainable growth, while significantly reducing environmental risks and ecological scarcities.
Among several sectors in Green Economy, mining industry is one of the industries which demonstrateil. Therefore, this essay will discuss about the definition of mining industry, positive results of mining industry regards to green economy, and the impacts of them to the society and environment.
