한국어 초록

본고에서는 오분향게 칠정례 천수경의 한글 율조를 한문 율조와 비교하여 앞으로 진행될 한글의례를 위한 발전적 방향을 찾아보았다. 한문과 한글 율 조의 전반적 양상을 보면, 한문은 대개 두 자 단위 패턴인 데 비하여, 한글 은 3자 패턴이 많았다. 이는 의례문 낭송에도 영향을 미쳐 말붙임의 강세와 목탁의 타법에 주의가 필요했다. 그 중에 오분향게와 칠정례는 느린 율조이 므로 어절에 맞는 장음 처리와 된소리의 자음을 유연하게 발성해야 하는 것 외에는 큰 차이가 없었다. 이에 비해 천수경 율조는 다소 차이가 컸다. 한문천수경은 4박자의 주된 패턴 사이로 진언과 게송의 제목들이 자유리듬으로 섞여 있어 일관성과 변 화가 절묘한 조화를 이루고 있었다. 반면 한글 천수경은 대개 7박자 패턴을 이루고 있어 리듬절주의 경쾌함이나 신명이 다소 부족하였다. 한글 천수경 에서 진일보한 면은 다라니의 범어 발음과 띄어 읽기이다. 이러한 시도는 변 화와 개선의 촉매역할을 할 것으로 보인다. 한글의례문의 전반적인 면모를 보면, 기존의 한문 율조와 발성을 따른 것 이 장점이자 단점이었다. 영어와 번안 가사 등 다방면의 성악곡에서 보았듯 이 언어가 다르면 율조와 충돌이 일어나는 것은 불가피하므로 앞으로 진행 될 한글 율조의 확산과 실행을 위해서는 우리말 음보와 리듬에 대한 혁신적 인 변화가 필요하다. 21세기 대중문화의 시대를 생각해볼 때, 기존의 한문을 잘 번역하여 한글화하는 것도 중요하지만 김소월의 시와 같은 순 우리말 의 례문 창제를 과감하게 시도해볼 필요가 있다.

영어 초록

Long since we have tried to translate Chinese to Korean for Koreanization of Buddhist ritual but it was not easy, so established ritual affair committee in a subsidiary in Jogye order of Korean Buddhism. Laster years. We newly translated the Chinese text of morning and evening ceremony to Korean and recited on the mode of existed character as public and distributed the CD to all around temple. Forward we will do continuer work to Koreanization through all ritual text. So on this thesis, I researched the condition of the melody and rhythm of Korean lettered reciting and compared with the original Chinese to develope and go on smoothly for Koreanization. First I analyzed the melody and rhythm patten of Korean antiphons of Ohbungyangge for burning incense, Chiljeonglye for seven bowing and Cheonsugyeong Thousand eyes and hands sutra. In consequence I found out every melodies are alike on the same frame. So some part was inapplicability by the different structure of words between Korean and Chinese. Usually the combination of chinese ideographic words are made with one or two but Korean's Phonetic words are with two or three letters. Especially Korean words are combine noun and other wording together so the length of sentences are longer then Chinese. The most patten of rhythm of Cheonsugyeong on Chinese is forth but Korean's is seventh. The major pattern on all of the world' is four beat because, so the rhythm is very rhythmical and easy to play, By the indebcedness existed chinese sutra could be very popular to Korean Buddhist. Korean lettered Cheonsugyeong on seven beat reciting patten is relatively less exciting. As like all art works, the succes and geting pupulation of the ritual reciting depend on the ratio of the consistency and diversity of the melody and rhythm. Just for this, we needed to figure out the character of Korean language sinthex and should compose the reciting tone according to our words identity. So it is regrettable that the situation we can not escape the exited chinese melody for the people usage. For independent developing of Korean Buddhism in the future, We need the actual mind to get the new melody and rhythm of sheer Korean text no relation Chinese reciting.
