본 연구는 다문화가정 수줍음 아동을 대상으로 독서치료 프로그램을 실시하였다. 연구 대상은 G도에 위치한 J군 OO초등학교 1학년에서 3학년 저학년 아동 16명으로 실험집단과 통제집단으로 나누었
다. 독서치료 프로그램의 각 회기는 주 1회 12주 동안 실험집단에게 실시되었다. 본 연구에서 사용한
검사 도구는 수줍음 검사 도구와 사회적 기술 향상 검사 도구, 그리고 자아존중감 검사 도구를 독서
치료 프로그램 실시 전․후에 대상아동 초등학교 담임교사에게 의뢰하였다. 본 독서치료 프로그램
활동과정은 수줍음의 하위영역으로 자기 자신 이해하기, 수줍음 이해하기, 사회적 기술 향상, 그리고
자아존중감 향상하기로 이루어졌다. 다문화가정 수줍음 아동 독서치료 프로그램 각 활동안의 세부사
항은 역할로 표현하기, 편지쓰기, 글로 표현하기, 게임과 놀이 등 신체 표현하기의 다양한 추후활동
과 평가로 이루어졌다. 독서치료 프로그램 활동 사전․사후검사 결과를 통해 수줍음은 감소되고 사
회적 기술과 자아존중감에서 긍정적으로 향상되는 효과를 볼 수 있었다. 본 연구의 다문화가정 수줍
음 아동에게 독서치료 프로그램을 실시한 실험집단에서 억압된 자신의 감정표출을 통하여 수줍음이
감소되었고, 또래관계에서 사회적 기술 향상 등으로 긍정적인 변화를 보여주었으므로 본 연구는 다
문화가정 수줍음 아동들에게 독서치료 프로그램이 효과가 있다는 결론을 얻을 수 있었다.
영어 초록
This study investigated the effects of the Bibliotherapy program for the shy children who are inthe multicultural family. In order to do this study, 16 children between grade 1 and 3 of the
elementary school in G city were selected and they are divided by the experimental group and the
control group. The Bibliotherapy program has been adopted for the experimental group once a week
for 12 weeks. The shyness scale, the social skills rating system(SSRS) and the self-esteem inventory
have been conducted before and after the Bibliotherapy program by the elementary teachers. The
Bibliotherapy program consisted of the self-understanding, understanding of the shyness, improving
the social skills and enriching the self-esteem. The each compositions of the Bibliotherapy program
has various activities and assessments such as the role-expressing play, writing the letter, the creative
writing. From analysing of the pre-test and post-test of the Bibliotherapy program, we can confirm
the improvements of the social skills and the self-esteems and the reduction of the shyness.
Therefore, the study result indicated that the Bibliotherapy program is effective for the children in
the multicultural family to reduce their shyness through the enriching self-expression and the
improving social skills in the peer relationships.
