1. General feature of Language learning process in a very early age (Up to 2 years)
Answer: At 1, the earliest vocalizations are involuntary crying when babies feel hungry or uncomfortable and cooling and gurgling which show satisfaction or happiness.
At 2, tiny babies are capable of very fine auditory discrimination. For example, they can hear the difference between sounds as similar as ‘pa’ and ‘ba’.
At 3, infants begin to develop a sense of meaning in phonemic sounds.
At 4, around 12 months(“one-word” stage), babies begin to produce one or two recognizable words, producing single-word sentences.
At 5, by the age of 2(“two word” stage), most children reliably produce at least 50 sentences, begin to make “telegraphic sentences” which have no function words and grammatical morphemes, reflect the order of the language, and they can creatively combine words.
