Executive summary
The portable media player is becoming the must-have item among young people. The popularity is surprisingly increasing every year, so currently there are lots of competitors and they try to keep their business well-performing. IPop is one of the fastest runners in the industry and they are creating a new segmentation to make a product differentiation. The other runner in this industry is IRiver. They are quite new but the firm stretched very quickly in global market. They always make a challenge to innovate and now the company gets popularity among innovators who want to find new products. So I am going to tell the industry of potable media player as an introduction and describe the market situation and economic position for both companies IPod and IRiver how they are running a business and making profit as a main body. Finally, I will give some conclusions with future prospects.
