Why We Need To Break The Silence And The Invisibility?

The silence in Obasan and the invisibility in In the Skin of a Lion is a notion that related to the power, which believes saving the margins, but practically it oppressed the margins. Marginalization related both notions and this can issue in different social background and different social phenomena. Personally, I strongly believe that every human being has a right to has equality, opportunity, and dignity. There are always two sides to every problem which is marginalization in this context, and in two novels that are Obasan by Joy Kogawa(1981) and In the Skin of a Lion by Michael Ondaatje(1987) show how important the meaning of silence and how important the meaning of invisibility with marginalization
