I. Executive Summary
Academy Sports + Outdoors is a privately held retailer of sports, outdoor. It manages 128 stores throughout the U.S. Academy make $2.26 billion revenue in 2009 and it is about 9.15% of total United States sports equipment market value $24.7 billion. In addition, Academy San Antonio local branch is one of the stores which has pretty high profits. It’s revenue is $14,060,000 in 2010. The focus of Academy is different from other competitors and the change in making business decision is required to expand market share.
With this issue, I analyzed Academy Sports + Outdoors by applying business tools which I learned and created new recommendations to give it the another opportunity to more develop with my own ideas. Also, in some part, I choose a specific branch located in San Antonio to make the analysis validated.
