. Purpose
: In this experiment, we aim to understand how foreign proteins are expressed in bacteria, how target proteins are separated and purified using fusion proteins, and to try them ourselves.
Discussion
: Affinity chromatography is a method of separating mixtures using specific interactions. Specific interactions, for example, include reactions between antigens and antibodies, between enzymes and substrates, and between receptors and ligands. In this case, strong forces like hydrogen bonds, ion-ion interactions interact with other molecules. In affinity chromatography, we use the property that some molecules bind to a fixed phase. Generally, proteins do not have ligand-specific characteristics
