01 실험 이론 - 인장 시험(Tensile Test)
a. 공칭 응력(Engineering Stress, s)
공칭 응력(Engineering Stress)이란, 시편에 작용하는 하중 F를 시편의 원래 단면적 A0로 나눈 응력을 뜻한다. 단위는 [MPa] ([N/m²]) 혹은 [psi]로 나타낸다.
b. 공칭 변형률 (Engineering Strain, e)
- 공칭 변형률이란 표점 거리(Gauge Length)의 변화량을 원래의 표점 거리로 나눈 것이다. 단위는 무차원이지만 [m/msk] 또는 [in/in]로 나타내기도 한다.
c. 인장 강도(tensile strength, σu)
인장 상태(잡아당기는 상태)의 구조물이 받을 수 있는 최대 응력을 뜻한다. 이 응력이 계속 부과되고 지속되면 결과적으로 파괴가 일어난다.
d. 응력-변형률 거동(stress-strain curve)
- 응력과 변형률이 비례하는 변형을 탄성 변형(Elastic Deformation)이라고 한다. 응력-변형률 선도 내의 탄성 영역에서의 직선의 기울기가 탄성 계수이며, 후크의 법칙을 통해 그 관계식을 나타낼 수 있다.
