a.1. The Background and Purpose of project
A fan is a powered machine used to create flow within a fluid, typically a gas such as air. People commonly use it during hot and humid summer days to increase air movement throughout a home. Nowadays, there are various types of electric fans around us. Also there exist fans of various sizes so we can easily find the people holding a portable fan in their hand outdoors.
The first fan powered by electricity was invented by Schuyler Wheeler between 1882 and 1886. Since then, electric fan has continued to develop. And now, people usually had recognized a fan with several blades inside as general one. However, in October 2009, James Dyson’s consumer electronics company introduced a new device to the market called the Dyson Air Multiplier which is a bladeless fan. Since then, it has been loved for several reasons.
