Understanding the boundary layer formation and boundary layer separation concept, it was to grasp the flow according to flow velocity and current when various types of solid objects were placed in the fluid. It was an experiment using hydrogen bubble visualization device to visualize the flow around an object and observe turbulence, laminar flow and fully developed flow.
Because fluids are viscous, viscous fluids adhere to the surface when encountered. The fluid then generates friction force on the object, and this friction affects the shear stress so that the shape of the boundary layer fluid can be observed, and what form can be observed as the flow velocity changes.
As the current and flow rates increased, the thickness of the boundary layer became thicker, and it could be seen that the boundary layer hardly separated from the low flow rate.
