1. Abstract
The motion of a projectile ball launched with three different angles is observed. To verify whether the projectile showed a 2-dimensional motion and whether the total mechanical energy was conserved was the main purpose of the experiment. The ball was launched with a launcher capable of launching projectiles with constant angle and constant velocity. The projectile was analyzed using PASCO Capstone. It was clearly observed that the projectile’s motion was 2-dimensional. In the case of total mechanical energy, experimental errors were observed, but within an acknowledgeable range. The error was thought to be induced from two main reasons: failure to accurately measure the position of the ball, and failure to consider air resistance when calculating the total energy.
