Latin America and the United States are located on the same continent. This is one of the important factors in explaining the relationship between these two regions from the past to the present. This study will focus on Mexico, which has the largest number of trade with the United States among many countries in Latin America. The two countries have continued to reiterate the relationship between cooperation and conflict in the past, but Mexico has faced more and more serious problems under the Trump administration's foreign policy in 2017. The most distinctive features of the Trump administration's commitment were US priority and protectionism. Trump, now looking at his three years in office, decided to withdraw from the TPP and the Paris climate agreement, judging that it was against US interests. This American move has somewhat confused the world.
And Latin America couldn´t escape this confusion, especially Mexico. The biggest controversy was the construction of a border barrier, one of Trump's commitments.
