The definition of Early childhood English Education (ECEE)
Early childhood education refers to the implementation of a certain curriculum for children who do not reach school age, and is designed to develop or train early on the intellectual potential of infants for children aged 4 to 5 years old. So, what is early childhood English education (ECEE)? It is literally educating children about a certain curriculum in English when they do not reach school age. According to Rivers (1981), early language education refers to the learning of a language other than one's native language and is the teaching of language to children under the age of 12, but the term 'early' does not clearly indicate the beginning age of foreign language learning.
Is early education effective in second language acquisition?
Nowadays, English has been designated as the official language of the world, the wind of English is blowing around the world as its importance increases. Korea is no exception. The wind of English, which has become a social issue due to excessive fever, is hitting the nation.
