본문내용
Napoleon Bonaparte once said of China, “Let her sleep, for when she wakes, she will shake the world.” East Asia has received special attention because it is ideologically and culturally different from the West and China has especially gotten great attention in that it is the fastest emerging country in the world economically and politically after the Soviet Union failed. Despite a lot of pessimism about it, China has now developed rapidly with its large land and abundant resources. Because China has diplomatic powers from its historical strength, flexible growth policies, and enormous economic potential in spite of communist social structure, it is the next superpower.
Although China acquired status as the world’s second largest economy, the attention to China focuses not only on its economy but also on other aspects such as diplomatic powers. Diplomatic power is an aspect to be reckoned with. China exerts its influence in relations with the world especially U.S. and East Asia.
