unit 4: reading one - fable for tomorrow
1. Summarize the main points of the fable. (pp. 74~75)
-There was once a town in the heart of America where all life seemed to live in harmony with its environments(surroundings). The countryside was, in fact, famous for the affluence(abundance) and variety of its bird life. It had been from the days many years ago when the first settlers raised their houses, sank their wells, and built their barns.
-A strange disease(blight) crept over the area and everything began to change. Everywhere was a shadow of death. There had been several sudden and unexplained deaths, not only adults but even among children.
