Situation
A development of cleaner alternative fuels for vehicles has become a high priority for many governments around the world since many environmental problems arise from the usage of fossil fuel. Natural gas was then highlighted and has become an extremely important source of global energy with its environmental benefits over other energy sources, particularly ordinary fossil fuels. Currently, 24% of world energy is produced from natural gas, which occupies the third place in the world among primary energy sources used and represents over a fifth of energy consumption worldwide.(presumably LNG is already being used because of its advantages compared to natural gas so it maybe accounts for a considerable amount of 24% above. This is rather obscure based on the flow of the text) Especially, natural gas has become a very popular fuel for the generation of electricity because of its clean burning nature. According to the EIA (Energy Information Administration), natural gas-fired electricity generation is expected to account for 80 percent of all added electricity generation capacity by 2035.
