Introduction
It is certain that Korean women have achieved some degree of constitutional rights for equal opportunities to gain access to public education and to work outside home. Today’s Korean society is not as dominated by Confucianism as it was in the past and the perceptions of the role of women are changed. So companies are trying to actively promote good practices and strategies for women employees at work. A gender balance and equality at workplace have especially been a major issue in the area of Human Resource Management. Some Korean companies such as Samsung and LG have recently adapting ‘Female Quota System’ in entry-level recruitment for female workers since women are integrated into more aspects of business and professional life and have taken steps toward improving their diversity. The main aim of the paper is about reason why the Female Quota System should be adopted.
