1.What kind of changes did Fiorino make to its structure to help H-P increase the speed of innovation?
Before answer this question, we should know that most of company have a conservative culture at first. Because the company don`t have afford to make flexible organization. At that time, Owner should do everything something like a marketing, product, development etc. so after the company is growing, the owner hire others people and he can distribute his right to his employee. Only then, he can design the organization as the Horizontal hierarchy. It means that before growing the company any organization can`t it.
By the way, In the case, H-P have enough size to do it. but the company couldn`t because H.P employees love their existing culture. In other words, the members don`t want to change their work or strictly vertical hierarchy. that is obstacle of the organization change. Because of the culture, H.P met big problems. so Fiorino changed their culture from the roots that means he changed the mind of members to solve the problems.
