“Respect it, preserve it” was published on May 2009 by the DDB Brazil advertising agency. It has been quite controversial because it conveys very offensive messages and images. Thus, it was rejected by The World Wildlife Fund, which is an international non-governmental organization working on issues about restoration of the environment. (Aun 1). However, I think this text is fairly effective. The images depict Manhattan Island attacked by a lot of airplanes, and the picture says ‘The tsunami killed 100 times more people than 9/11. The planet is brutally powerful, Respect it. Preserve it.’ Even though the messages and images are very sensational, they grab people’s eyes at least. The picture encourages people to think about the relationship between humankind and nature,
