테솔할때 냈던 저널입니다.
Secondly, I definitely want to mention the authentic materials that I used by my self. They are popular ones : pop songs and movies. I really like to thank my father who made me fall in love with pop songs from when I was 10 years old. Mariah Carey, who is the most inspiring person in many ways, still affects me a lot. I think my choice to the singer was very helpful, because her songs` lyrics contains quite challenging content and various rhymes to practice pronunciation.

My motive to become an English teacher came to my mind because of the regret that I really didn`t like Korean English teachers` teaching styles. So I thought that some of us have to challenge them and start to change. I was quite shocked when I went to the U.S. to get language course certificate, because the teachers` various method used for language teaching of there actually worked for me a lot. Having feeling the lack of focus on teachers, since I couldn`t remember any good teacher models, I will pick out some of significant experiences of my `self learning` and then think about methods how I could apply them to my actual teaching like the qualified teachers of America. From now, I will write about three parts of my learning experiences. They are the `self learning` experiences which refer to my memory of age 12~19. Motivation, authentic materials, relaxed grammar learning through acquisition - these three are main factors of my English learning which were relatively successful.
