1.2 Business ContextSo as to get over the management and administrative difficulties, we desires to execute the DevMOP System. The above systems would be implemented on a network inside the campus in Oxford university, in order to replace the existing partially manual paper based system. The key point of the DevMOP systems would be a effective user interface in order to create a friendly, easy, efficient access to the DevMOP system.
The aims of the project are as follows:
● To bring down manual labour
● To collect as the possible data and access as the users want
● To promote accuracy of the system
● To reduce duplication of work
1.3 Scope
The Oxford University College is requesting proposals to develop a prototype of an Automated Student Management System (SMS) for their current system. This new SMS, which is called DevMOP, needs to be scalable enough so that it can provide the convenience and capability of multiple access for the students, lecturers, staffs, and each administrator.
The system will be designed to provide the student enrollment system through the internet. The system will have a user-friendly graphical interface and will be more cost effective compared to the sort of current manual system.
