Abstract

한국어 초록

청소년들의 학습, 일, 수면, 기타 필수적인 것에 소요된 시간을 제외한 교제 및 여가활동을 위한 기준시간은 통계청의 자료에 의하면 1일 평균 4시간 45분으로 나타나고 있다. 급격한 정보화가 진행되면서 청소년들의 여가활동은 TV시청 이나 컴퓨터게임 등에 편중되고 있어 정부에서는 이에 대한 부작용을 최소화하기 위해 게임셧 다운 제도까지 도입하였다. 그래서 본 연구에서는 청소년들의 취미ㆍ특기를 일반청소년과 범죄청소년간의 차이, 취미ㆍ특기별 성격유형이 범 죄에 미치는 영향, 범죄청소년과 취미ㆍ특기별 성격유형을 비교분석하였다. 범 죄청소년은 노래부르기, 구기운동, 정적형, 당구 등 순으로 선호하고, 일반청소년은 구기운동, 노래부르기, 예술형, TV시청 등 순으로 취미ㆍ특기활동을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 전자게임ㆍ격투기ㆍ영화감상ㆍ음악감상ㆍ스포츠 등은 일반ㆍ범죄청소년 사이에 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 취미ㆍ특기종류별 성격유형 이 청소년범죄여부에 대해 스포츠형(67.9%), 독서(54.6%), 그림그리기(46.2%), 격투기(41.8%), 정적형(39.7%), 예술형(39.5%), TV시청(36.8%), 영화감상 (35.7%) 음악감상(22.6%), 구기운동(17.3%), 전자게임(13.3%), 노래부르기 (9.8%) 등 순으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 범죄청소년과 취미 ㆍ특기종류별 성격유형에서는 노래부르기ㆍ격투기ㆍ당구ㆍ영화감상ㆍ정적형 등은 준법성이 낮게 나타나는 등 유사한 형태를 보이고 있다. 반면에 구기운동 ㆍ예술형ㆍ독서ㆍ스포츠형ㆍ요리 등은 준법성이 높게 나타나며 범죄청소년과 차이를 보이고 있다. 한편 전자게임과 TV시청은 범죄청소년 보다 준법성은 높으나 자아정체성, 창의성, 사교성이나 친화력, 인자함과 탐구성 등에서 범죄청소년들보다 매우 낮게 나타나고 있어 청소년의 인성발달에 부정적 영향을 준다고 볼 수 있다.

영어 초록

According to the National Statistical Office, the standard time for our youth to spend on activities and social networking is 4 hours and 45 minutes per day, excluding the time spent on essential activities such as studying, working, and sleeping. As society is rapidly becoming more information-oriented, today’s youth are leaning towards to spending more of their spare time watching TV or playing computer games that, in order to minimize the side effects, the government has even imposed a game shutdown system. This research comparatively analyzed the difference between the youth’s hobbies/specialties of non-criminal youth and criminal youth, the impact of personality types regarding hobbies and specialties on crime and criminal youth and personality types regarding hobbies and specialties.
Criminal youth prefer static types such as singing and ball games, static hobby and billiard while non-criminal youth prefer types such as ball games, singing, artistic hobby and watching TV. However, video games, martial arts, watching movies, listening to music and sports illustrated no significance.
Personality types regarding hobbies and specialties affect the juvenile crime as follow in a descending order: sports types (67.9%), reading (54.6%), drawing (46.2%), martial arts (41.8%), static types (39.7%), artistic types (39.5%), watching TV (36.8%), watching movies (35.7%), listening to music (22.6%), ball games (17.3%), video games (13.3%), and singing (9.8%).
Criminal youth and personality types regarding hobbies and specialties illustrate a similar trend in singing, martial arts, billiards, watching movies, and static hobby that they show a low law-abiding rate. On the other hand, ball games, reading, artistic hobby, cooking, and sports types show a high law-abiding rate that they illustrate a difference with criminal youth. Meanwhile, video games and watching TV show higher law-abiding in personality types, but demonstrate much lower rate in self-identity, creativity, sociability, generosity and research-mindedness that they have negative influences on youth personality development.
In conclusion, since the study demonstrates a strong relationship between youth hobbies/specialties and their personalities and the impact on crime, it is necessary to instruct our youth about their hobbies in order for them to develop healthy characters and avoid juvenile crime.
