Abstract: The purpose of our journal is to analyze a response of the car body when the car passes through a speed bump using PID controller. While ride quality is a very important condition to be considered when buying a car, the ride quality is most related with the irregular surface of the road. We used a speed bump to see how the car vertically vibrates when it passes through the bump. 4 DOF model was used for interpretation. The input value (the speed bump) was designed as the traffic laws provided and we expressed the bump figure graph using the sine function. Throughout the journal, we used both MATLAB SIMULINK and MSC ADAMS to interpret the response when PID controller was used (Ziegler Nichols method, LQR, Relay Auto tuning) and not.
