이 연구는 특수교사의 배치환경(특수학교, 특수학급)에 따른 학습기회, 사회적지지, 교육신
념, 수업전문성 수준의 차이를 알아보고, 특수교사들의 수업전문성에 영향을 미치는 요인들을
학습기회와 사회적지지, 교육신념으로 나누어 특수교사들의 수업전문성에 어떠한 요인들이
영향을 미치는지, 특히 어떤 요인의 상대적 영향력이 큰지를 분석하였다.
이를 위해 특수교사 255명을 대상으로 조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째,
배치환경(특수학교, 특수학급)에 따른 학습기회, 사회적지지, 교육신념, 수업전문성의 수준 차
이를 분석한 결과 특수학교 교사가 특수학급 교사보다 학습기회의 '비공식적 학습기회', 사회
적지지의 '동료지지', 교육신념의 '교수·학습관', 수업전문성의 '수업 후 활동' 측면에서 수준이
더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학습기회와 사회적지지 및 교육신념이 수업전문성에 미치는
영향을 알아본 결과 학습기회와 교육신념 요인은 수업전문성의 80.6%를 설명하며, 영향력의
크기는 교육신념이 학습기회보다 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학습기회와 사회적지지 및 교
육신념의 하위 요인들이 수업전문성에 미치는 영향을 알아본 결과 교육신념의 교수·학습관,
교과관, 학습자관과 학습기회의 비공식적 학습기회와 공식적 학습기회 만이 수업전문성에 유
의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 요인은 수업전문성의 82.7%를 설명하며, 영향력
의 크기는 교육신념의 교수·학습관, 교과관, 학습자관이 비공식적 학습기회보다 크고, 비공식
적 학습기회는 공식적 학습기회보다 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 특수교
사의 수업전문성을 강화하기 위한 방안들을 논의하였다.

영어 초록

The study inquired into the differences in the level of learning opportunity, social
support, educational belief, and teaching expertise according to the placement
environment(special education schools, special education classes) of special teachers, analyzed
what factors affect teaching expertise, in particular, what factors have great relative effect, by
dividing the factors into learning opportunity, social support, and educational belief.
To do this, an investigation was conducted on 255 special education teachers. The results
of the study are as follows. First, analysis on the differing levels of learning opportunity,
social support, education belief, and teaching expertise on the basis of placement
environment(special education schools, special education classes) revealed that special
education school teachers had a higher level of ‘informal learning opportunity’ for learning
opportunity, ‘coworker support’ for social support, ‘teaching and learning view’ for
educational belief, and ‘after class activities’ for teaching expertise than special education
class teachers.
Second, Based on influences of learning opportunity, social support, and educational
belief upon teaching expertise, factors of educational belief and learning opportunity
explained 80.6% of teaching expertise. And educational belief had larger influences than
learning opportunity.
Third, Based on influences of sub-factors of learning opportunity, social support, and
educational belief upon teaching expertise, it was found that only view of teaching and
learning, view of curriculum, and view of learners of educational belief; informal and formal
learning opportunity had significant influences on teaching expertise. Such factors explained
82.7% of teaching expertise. For size of influence, view of teaching and learning, view of
curriculum, and view of learners of educational belief were larger than informal learning
opportunity. And informal learning opportunity was larger than formal opportunity. Based
on the study results, measures to strengthen teaching expertise of special education teachers
were discussed.
