본 연구는개인적특성과가정환경변인을포함하여아동의음악적성(음정과리듬)에영향을미치는관련 변인들을조사한바, 선행연구고찰을통해 아동의개인적특성에는성,
연령, 기질, 지능, 정서지능, 가정환경변인에가는정의음악적환경, 부모의음악적태도
및 음악적자아존중감이포함되었다. 연구대상은K시의유아교육기관6곳에재원중인만
3세∼5세아동 2 8 8명과 부모(어머니)였다. 연구결과는요약해보면, 첫째, 아동의개인적
특성과음악적성과의상관관계를조사한결과 유의한변인은연령과기질(활동성), 정서
지능(자기정서의인식 및 표현/ 감정조절및 충동억제/ 자기정서이용)으로나타났다. 둘
째, 가정환경변인과음악적성과의상관관계는유의한결과를도출하지못했다. 셋째, 아
동의 개인적특성과가정환경변인의음악적성에대한 상대적인영향력을단계적회귀분
석을 통해 조사한결과 음악적성전체점수, 음정능력, 리듬능력모두에서매우 유의한영
향력을가지는것은 아동의개인적특성으로여기에는유아의연령과성, IQ, 기질의일
부 하위요인(활동성, 달랠수 있는 기질), 그리고대부분의EQ 하위 변인이포함되었다.
특히 개인적특성 중 1 0개 하위 변인이포함되는단계적회귀분석모형은음악적성전체
점수를51% 설명하는것으로나타났고모델의유의도도매우 높게 나타났다.

This study purposed to analyze young children's personal characteristics and homeenvironment variables that affect the young children's musical aptitude. In particular,
this study derived variables related to young children's musical aptitude from previous
researches and grouped them into young children's personal characteristics(gender, age,
temperament, IQ, EQ) and home environment variables(the music background at home,
parents' musical attitude, parents' self-concept in music), and examined how these
variables are related to young children's musical aptitude(interval, rhythm). The subjects
of this study were 288 young children aged between 3∼5 who were attending one of
3 kindergartens and 6 child-care centers in K City and their parents(mothers). The results
of this study are summarized as follows. First, according to the result of analyzing the
relation between young children's personal characteristics and musical aptitude, variables
of age, temperament and EQ reveal their significant relation to musical aptitude. Second,
young children's home environment variables was not significantly correlated with their
musical aptitude. Third, according to the result of stepwise multiple regression analysis
using young children's personal characteristics and home environment variables as
independent variables and musical aptitude as dependent variables, young children's
personal characteristics such as gender, age, IQ, the sub factors of temperament(activity
and soothability) and the sub factors of EQ appeared to have relatively high influence
on young children's musical aptitude. In addition, these sub factors predicted 51% of
the total score of young children's musical aptitude.
