현대에 와서 심리치료의 다양한 접근방법들 중 Gestalt 심리이론의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. “현대의 경제적인 풍요는 성숙한 자아의식을 필요로 하는데 그런 의미에서 Gestalt 심리이론이 성숙한 인간상(순수 자기 상, 실존적 자기 상)의 수준을 목표로 한다는 점에서 시대적 요청을 받고 있는 것이다." Gestalt 심리 이론은 다른 심리치료의 긍정적인 부분들이 내재되어 있으며 이러한 여러 긍정적인 이론의 흡수는 복잡한 현대 사회를 살고있는 사람들의 마음을 변화시키는데 큰 몫을 할 수 있기 때문이다.

영어 초록

Dance/Movement Therapy is the one field of psychotherapy to change individual by expressing mental state and unifying body and mind through bodily movement. And, this is applicable to mental patient, autistic man, handicapped children, and the aged.
The purpose of this research is to study the basic principles of Gestalt psychology theoretically for examination of Gestalt Dance/Movement among the various methods of Dance/Movement and to enlarge the range of the application of various Dance/Movement Therapy.
Many theorists such as Jung, Adler, Rogers including Freud classified psychology into various classes indeed, we applies their theories in the Dance/Movement Therapy. Among these theories, Gestalt psychological theory is the type of the existential and phenomenal psychotherapy and it places great emphasis on human relation between counselor(curer) and counselee so it is used to dim human relation in the modern society.
The reason why I try to explore the method of Dance/ Movement Therapy by regarding Gestalt psychological theory is as following.
First, I'll let counselee to recognize all kinds of things for himself through the various sensory organs.
Second, in the process of therapy, I'll let him feel linguistic factor and non linguistic factor together. Especially, this research will be helpful to combine the bipolar and separated body and mind into a whole one for higher self-consciousness of counselee.
Third, the existential and phenomenal psychotherapy process of Gestalt psychology is not subordinate in the relation between counselee and counselor and, it conducts counselee-centered psychotherapy on the basis of human understanding. Moreover, it will develope the psychotherapy process through trusting relation.
These factors of Gestalt psychology will be similar to Dance/Movement Therapy in many respects and, they will be useful to create the humanistic method of Dance/Movement Therapy which is necessary to modern society.
Therefore, in this research, I'll study the method of Dance/Movement Therapy centering around theoretical background of Gestalt psychology and Dance/Movement Therapy on the assumption that body state and expression of movement is important to turn over new leaf for moderns.
