Although some people has negative perception in gambling industry and assume that gambling industry increase crime rate in local area, the industry is helpful for local economy because casino businesses create many jobs, collect huge amount of tax revenue, and provide entertainment.

The Gaming Commission Fund receives 50% of the $2 admission fee for each person who gambles on a gambling boat, and other 50 percent of the fee goes to the dock cities and counties (funds.pdf). The Gaming Proceeds for Education Fund collects 90 percent of the amounts of a 20 percent tax from gambling receipts of gambling boats and other 10% of the collections go to the dock cities and counties (funds.pdf). More specifically, in fiscal year 2006, the Missouri State collected $ 53,887,682 as admission fees and other half $ 53,887,682 went to a local county the dock located at (annual2006.pdf). The 90% of Gaming tax, $282,653,342, went to the Missouri State and remaining 10%, $31,405,926, went to the
