According to the dictionary, music is the pattern of sounds produced by people singing or playing instruments or it is the art of creating or performing music. Through variety kinds of music, people can choose what they want to listen to. There can be so many functions of music when we understand what meaning music can have to different people. Basically, music helps make people enjoyable, relieve stress and soothe our feeling. However, it can have different meaning for people depending on how the music is used by people. First of all, music gives entertainment generally to majority of people. Also, for patients it can be one way of treatments. Finally, it can play a sacred role in religion.
In general, for the majority of people music is means of entertaining themselves. Considering the magnitude of pop music industry and the money singers earn each year, people do love listening to music itself. Around us, we have got a lot of choices in music genres such as Rock&Roll, Dance, Ballad or Jazz. So, we can choose any music that they want according to their taste.
