Mechanical Hazards: Fire, Explosions, Elecrocution
- inadvertent of surgical drapes, clothing, hair, oxygen, and endotracheal tubing에 의해 생명을 위협할 정도의 3도 화상이 생기고 있다. 치료 부위는 언제나moistened towel 혹은 gause에 의해 덮어져야 하며, potentially exposed hair-bearing area(예, hairline and eyebrows during facial resurfacing)는 water 혹은 hydrophil gel에 의해 covered 되야 한다.
Respiratory and infectious hazards
- laser혹은 electrosurgical vaporization시 생기는 연기는 respiratory and infectious 위험이 있다.
또한 genital and mucosal condylomata, cutaneous warts, cervical dysplasia and squamous cell carcinoma와 연관된 HPV의 fragment들도 발견되고 있다. control 그룹에 비하여 CO2 surgen에서 nasopharyngeal warts의 높은 보고가 있다.
