Introduction

In June 2006, the World Cup, which is one of the biggest international events, will take place in Germany. Many people from all over the world will be eager and interested in these soccer games and many German cities hosting these soccer matches would be the hottest spots in the world during the World Cup.

Every year, there are many international events which are very famous and attract visitors to the host countries and cities. Such events have great influence on these places’ economy and national images and give them a chance to introduce their nation and culture to the rest of the world. Therefore, many countries and cities are keen to host these international events.

Korea, our home country, is also host to many international events of different types, such as entertainment, sports, conventions and exhibitions, and cultural activities.

We would like to introduce to you Korea and some famous international events. In this assessment, we will also introduce the following aspects of Korea: location, weather, famous place for travel, food, population and traditional culture.
