Gossip Girl, a famous American teen drama, is basically about the lives of privileged teens of the Upper East Side. The title ‘Gossip Girl’ is the name of a blog, which is the one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite. Posted on the blog are `spotted` characters, gossip, and rumors. The information sources of Gossip Girl are the Upper East Siders themselves. When the Upper East Siders send text messages or e-mail to Gossip Girl about ‘it girls’ and ‘it boys’, Gossip Girl reveals the information and the secrets on her blog. Although Gossip Girl knows everything around Manhattan, no one knows her identity. In Korea, Gossip Girl is one of the most famous American TV dramas, especially among teenage girls and girls in their twenties.
