Mechanism of oscilloscope
① Find out about the mechanism of oscilloscope and cathode ray display.
Oscilloscope
Oscilloscope is an instrument for producing a representation of a quantity that how it changes rapidly with time on the screen of a cathode-ray tube. The changes are converted into electric signals that is, oscilloscope is a waveform showing device. If current`s magnitude changes, the plates deflect the beam and produce a trace.
Cathode ray display
It is the device that shows computer`s data of result to the Braun tube`s fluorescence side by using electron beam expressing letter, shape that can be seen. Also, It is used as a letter display, graphic display.
Since there is a electric potential of deflection, electron beam will be deflected. And this lead the light on the screen by the principle Edison effect to change.
② Describe the way of connecting signal to oscilloscope, triggering, and measuring time/voltage/frequency.
