본문내용

Stellar Evolution:
A star starts out as an enormous gas and dust begins to condense under its own gravity. If it became massive enough, nuclear fusion begins and the ball of gas and dust would start to glow. And this is when a new star has begun its life. Depending on the star mass, the star would rest there for million to billion years as using hydrogen for fusion. And these are the star such Earth, Sun, and other planets and most of the stars that we could see.
After that period, stars are running out of their main fuel, the hydrogen. Without the fuel, the outer layers of the star begin to collapse inward toward the core, and the temperature and pressure would increase. This newly generated heat temporarily counteracts the force of gravity, then the outer layers of the star are now pushed outward. And the star expands a few to a hundred times bigger to its original size, and the star becomes a red giant.
