Abstract
영어 초록
With a view to seeking solutions for problems humans are faced with by applying the Buddhist Cattari Ariyasaccani(四聖諦, cattari ariyasaccani) principle to an art therapy, the present study attempted to find out the effects of a Mandala art therapy program applying Cattari Ariyasaccani on clients' recovery from negative emotions. Study subjects were a mother(48 yo; housewife, high school graduate) and her daughter(21 yo; undergraduate). The mother wanted to receive counseling for her usual emotions leading to easily losing her temper toward others and for feeling a pressure. Upon completion of counseling the mother, her daughter agreed to request counseling on the advice of her mother, wishing to cope with her inconvenient feelings. The mother underwent counseling from mid November in am to early March in 2010, and the daughter from mid March to the end of June in 2010 in the author's private counseling office located in B. Each of them received a weekly Mandala art therapy applying Cattari Ariyasaccani (a total of 14 sessions per person/ 60 minutes per session). Further, to analyze the effects of the art therapy program, KHTP, BDI, BAI and clinging(obsession) scale(E. H. Lee, 2006) were used for comparison before and after the therapy program According to the findings here, first, the Mandala art therapy program applying Cattari Ariyasaccani was effective for reducing the mother's depression and clinging(obsession), and thus decreasing her negative emotions. (The mother showed no significant anxiety in the preliminary test) Second, the Mandala art therapy program applying Cattari Ariyasaccani proved effective for reducing the daughter's depression, anxiety and clinging(obsession), and thus lessening her negative emotions. Hence, the Mandala art therapy program applying Cattari Ariyasaccani was found to be effective for positive recovery from negative emotions of clients in this mother-daughter case study.
