본 연구의 목적은 청각자극을 활용한 집단미술치료 프로그램이 청각장애아동의 자기표현과 또래관계에 미치
는 효과성을 검증하는데 있다. 연구대상은 D복지관에 다니는 청각장애아동 8명을 실험집단으로 하고, 초등학교
청각장애아동 16명을 비교집단(8명), 통제집단(8명)으로 배치하였다. 프로그램은 매주 1?2회기로 80분씩 총 15
회기를 진행하였다. 실험집단은 청각자극을 활용한 집단미술치료를 실시하였으며, 비교집단은 집단미술치료를
실시하였다. 연구도구는 자기표현척도와 또래관계척도이며, 자료 분석은 일원변량분석과 반복측정 이원변량분석
을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청각자극을 활용한 집단미술치료는 청각장애아동의 자기
표현 전체와 하위요인 중 말한 내용과 음성요인, 비언어적 표현에서 효과가 있었으며, 집단미술치료는 자기표
현 전체와 하위요인 중 비언어적 표현에서 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 청각자극을 활용한 집단미술치료는 청각장애
아동의 또래관계와 하위요인 모두에서 효과가 있었으나, 집단미술치료는 또래관계와 하위요인 중 사회적지지,
처벌주도권에서 유의한 효과가 있었다. 이상에서 청각자극을 활용한 집단미술치료가 일반적인 집단미술치료보
다 청각장애 아동의 자기표현과 또래관계에 더 긍정적인 효과가 있었다.

영어 초록

This study investigated the effects of group art therapy using auditory stimulus on the self-expression
and peer-relationship of children with hearing impairment. In this study, 8 children with hearing
impairment who attended a local welfare center were designated as an experimental group. Out of 16
elementary school students with hearing impairment, 8 were designated as a comparison group and the
remaining 8 as a control group. The group therapy program ran a total of 15 sessions once or twice a
week. Each session lasted 80 minutes. The experimental group received group art therapy using auditory
stimulus. The comparison group received group art therapy without auditory stimulus. The instruments
used in this study were a self-expression scale and peer relationship scale. The data were analyzed using a
one-way ANOVA and two-way ANOVA with repeated-measures. The findings of this study are as follows.
First, group art therapy using auditory stimulus was effective in the whole categories of self-expression and
the subcategories such as spoken contents, voice and nonverbal expressions. Group art therapy without
auditory stimulus was effective in the whole categories of self-expression and the subcategory, nonverbal
expression. Second, group art therapy using auditory stimulus was effective in the peer relationship and the
whole subcategories. Group art therapy without auditory stimulus showed significant effects in the peer
relationship and the subcategories such as social support and punishment control. These findings suggest
that group art therapy using auditory stimulus had more positive effects on the self-expression and peer
relationship of the participants than group art therapy without auditory stimulus.
