본 연구는 미술과 표현활동 프로그램이 정신지체아동의 주의집중력에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위한 단일대상 실험연구로써, 미술과 표현활동 프로그램이 정신지체아동의 선택적 주의집중에 미치는 영향 및 주의집중 지속시간 그리고 주의집중 이동에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 정신지체아동을 대상으로 미술과 표현활동 프로그램을 실시하여 캠코더로 녹화한 후 사건기록법과 등간기록법을 이용하여 모든 회기의 빈도수와 점수를 분석하여 표로 나타내었으며 대상자간 중다기초선 그래프로 처리하였다. 본 연구에서 밝혀진 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 미술과 표현활동은 정신지체아동의 선택적 주의집중을 향상시키는데 효과적이다. 둘째, 미술과 표현활동은 정신지체아동의 주의집중 지속시간을 늘리는데 효과적이다. 셋째, 미술과 표현활동은 정신지체아동의 주의집중 이동을 향상시키는데 효과적이다.

영어 초록

The objective of this study was to investigate the effects on attentional abilities of arts expressive activities program for children with mental retardation as an unity object experiment study. The subjects of this study were 3 children with mental retardation at a elementary school. This study was designed multiple baseline across subjects.
It was study questions as follow. First, what is the effect of arts expressive activities program on the selective attention for children with mental retardation? second, what is the effect of arts expressive activities program on the attention span for children with mental retardation? Third, what is the effect of arts expressive activities program on the movement of the attention for children with mental retardation?
The experiment was recorded by a camcorder and the frequency of session and score were analyzed with case record method and equal sampling record method and recorded in a table and multiple baseline across subject graph. The conclusions of this study are as follow:
First, arts expressive activities program is effective on enhancing the selective attention of children with mental retardation. Second, arts expressive activities program is effective on enhancing the attention span of children with mental retardation. Third, arts expressive activities program is effective on enhancing the movement of the attention of children with mental retardation.
