이 연구는 감상, 노래, 악기활동이 측정 시간에 따라 체열 대칭과 분포 양상에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 알아보려 한 것이었다. 대상은 청소년 12명 (남 6, 여 6)과 성인 12명 (남 6, 여 6), 모두 24명이었다. 감상활동은 연구자가 선정한 여섯 장르의 음악 중에서 피험자가 원하는 곡을 선택하여 듣는 것이었고, 노래활동은 호흡과 발성을 한 후에 피험자가 선호하는 노래를 피아노 반주에 맞춰 부르는 것이었다. 악기활동은 치료사가 피아노로, 피험자가 드럼으로 즉흥연주 하는 것이었다. 피험자들은 실험 당일 일반적인 사항들을 기록하고, 적외선 체열검사기로 사전검사를 받았다. 이들은 감상 (n=8명), 노래 (n=8명), 악기활동 (n=8명)에 무선 배치되어 20분 동안 개인적으로 중재를 받고, 중재 직후, 그리고 10～15분 후에 사전과 동일한 방법으로 체열검사를 받았다. 두 명의 전문가와 연구자가 좌우 피부온도 차이와 체열 분포양상을 분석하였고, 측정시간에 따른 체열 변화를 알아보기 위해 반복측정 ANOVA를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 좌우 피부온도 차이는 세 활동 모두에서 중재 전과 직후간에 유의미한 차이를 보였고, 중재 직후와 10～15분간에는 차이를 보이지 않았다. 각 활동간에는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 노래활동 후의 체열 분포 양상은 얼굴과 목을 포함한 신체 뒷 부분의 온도가 상승하고 열의 흐트러짐이 정리되면서 대칭적이고 정상적인 체열패턴에 가까워지는 경향을 보였다. 악기활동 후의 체열 분포 양상은 얼굴과 신체 앞뒤 부분 모두의 체열 상승이 열의 흐트러짐과 대칭에 영향을 주면서 정상 패턴보다 확장되어 나타나는 경향을 보였다. 감상 후의 체열 분포양상은 개인에 따라 많은 차이를 보였지만, 몇몇 피험자들은 이마 부분을 중심으로 체열이 상승되는 경향을 보였다.

영어 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of music listening, singing, instrumental playing on phase of body heat range and its symmetric condition in proportion to the time of measurement. Subjects of this study were 24, among whom 12 were adolescents (6 males, 6 females), and 12 were adults (6 males, 6 females). In music listening activity, subjects had selected pieces according to his/her preference among six different genres of music prepared by the author and listened to it; in singing activity, subjects sang his/her preferred pieces along with the piano accompaniment after the procedure of breathing and vocal exercises; and in instrumental playing, subjects were to improvise to play drum set with experimenter's piano accompaniment.
An Initial survey on general conditions among the subjects was undertaken on the day of the experiment, followed by pretest of measurement of body temperature using infrared rays apparatus. The subjects were given 20-minute intervention individually in one of music listening group (n=8), singing group (n=8), and instrumental playing group (n=8). Shortly after the intervention, and 10～15 minutes after the intervention, they underwent the body temperature examination as in the pretest.
Two specialists and the experimenter analyzed the phase of body heat range and its temperature difference on both sides, and conducted repeated ANOVA in order to see symmetric difference on body heat in proportion to the time of measurement.
Results from repeated ANOVA, the difference of skin temperature on both sides showed significant difference before and right after the intervention, whereas it did not show significant difference between shortly after the intervention and 10～15 minute after the intervention in all activities. The heat differences among types of activities were not shown statistical significances.
After the singing activity, the phase of body heat range tended to become normal as the heat on the backside including face and neck area increased, and disperser of heat became symmetrical and normal. After the instrumental playing activity, the phase of body heat range showed tendency to expand even more than a normal pattern does, affecting on disperse and symmetric condition of heat. Although every participant showed individuality in the phase of body heat range after music listening, some participants showed the tendency that the temperature increased centering on the forehead.
