Last September, the Ministry of Health and Welfare declared the increase of the cigarette price. Specifically, the cigarette price is expected to be raised about two thousand won. Even though the bill does not pass the National Assembly, there are strong arguments both for and against the increase. This declaration is important because smoking is harmful to the body and the price is related with the welfare of national people.
