In Seoul, elementary schools have an average of more than 1500
students but in the other small towns such as Eumseong-gun,
elementary schools have an average of 150~200 students and
sometimes there are just 15~30 students in a elementary school.
Although most parents want to send their children to elementary
school in the city, there are some parents who want to send their
children to elementary school in the country. It may mean both have
different merits and demerits. Although elementary schools in Seoul
and the other small towns have different merits and demerits, they
both try to offer the best education to children.
Elementary schools in Seoul and the other small towns agree
about the importance of a wide variety of learning opportunities
outside of the classroom and the importance of English. Though the
two types of elementary schools have different conditions,
