This palace had been built by many sultans residing this palace by adding more buildings, gardens, and palaces based on 3 main palaces, the palace of lions, Comares palace, and Machuka palace. It mainly consists of the palaces described earlier, the Palace of CarlosⅤ built by Christian monarch, the garden, Generalife, and the watchtower Alcazaba. There are many fountains, pools and cascades irrigated from Darro River near to the palace. This implies that Moorish not only had sophisticated technology but also subconsciously reflected their preference to water that was rare in their homeland.
