That Yeats has been a great magician explains why his poetry is mystical. He borrows symbols from the Tarot and the Cabbalistic “Tree of Life” to create his mystical songs for the Divine Feminine, the Immortal Rose, in the world. My main focus is on some mystical symbols for the Divine Feminine, Sophia: “Moon,” “a dancer” “Lion,” “mummy,” “laughing,” and “arrow” and on searching for the hidden meanings in Yeats’s mystical poetry. Yeats as Daimon seeks these magical symbols to get the “Philosopher’s Stone.”
